Spectre Log Entry 160:
Spectre Commander report-
After several days of searching, we have found the warehouse. Fortunately, the contents of the warehouse (thousands of full metal jacket rounds) will be beneficial to the human survivors. However, upon entering the warehouse we awoke a group of dormant zombies, which we then engaged. These zombies had a thick skin that could not be penetrated by our standard rounds, but the full metal jacket rounds from the warehouse were strong enough to bring these tanks down. During the attack, several of the armored zombies escaped the warehouse and are roaming the nearby area.
I have left two of my Spectres behind to guard the warehouse so that the humans can safely retrieve the contents of the warehouse. I also have one Spectre out scouting for the remaining tank zombies to ensure the safety of the humans. I will be heading back to Nelfar’s lab to see if I can decipher his research. It seems that there is some merit to my suspicions and I believe that his research is key I need.
Specter Log Entry 156:
Specter Commander report-
Today the late Dr. Nelfar led the humans through infested territory to some of his hastily stashed supplies. Fortunately, we heard the doctor’s distress message and made it in time to join their offensive, during which we encountered a new kind of enemy. A new form of zombie unlike any we have encountered previously, appeared and consumed Nelfar before we could react and proceeded to rise up the slain undead. As we retreated venomous zombies ambushed us and slowed our escape, but we managed to escape with few casualties.
Dr. Nelfar’s supplies turned out to be medical supplies that can prevent humans from turning if they are treated while a shred of humanity remains in them. The two humans that managed to grab the supplies on the way out healed the other humans that had been bit. Since the humans have these supplies now, I believe that they can afford for us to leave and scour the nearby area for a storage facility rumored to be nearby. I have some suspicions too that it may be safer for us to distance ourselves from them, but it is nothing worth noting at this point in time.
This is Dr. Nelfar, to any survivors who can see this message.
I am in need of a team who can usher me back to my lab inside the chemistry building. If you can help, meet me at the homestead between the hours of 12 pm and 2 pm on Saturday October 1st. Our mission should take less than 2 hours and you would help me secure crucial resources for ending this epidemic. It is imperative that I get to these supplies before the infected manage to contaminate them.
If you can help, be warned… we will have a fight on our hands if we intend to get into that lab alive.
I only hope we are not too late…
This is Dr. Nelfar, signing off.
(The Homestead is marked on the map located on the rules page, and is denoted with a gold marker)
Last night I was able to get the standings up and running! Next step is the Zombie leaderboard.
As for now, you may notice that your real name is not displaying on the standings, this is because the page reads your Display Name which by default is your username. This can be changed from your profile page if you so choose.
Experiment Log – Day 91:
It has begun…
The evening detail has been slaughtered… the test subjects have escaped and the detainees have vanished. Days ago I thought of this possibility as nothing more than an improbable statistic… Now I see that this is a nightmare I have created due to my foolishness. This will be my last entry, as one of the few survivors left in a now empty lab.
To those who find this, be warned:
They are out there… They will find you… They will destroy you.
I am leaving the lab effective immediately, with the hope of surviving to finish what I started. I don’t know if I can ever return. I can only hope that They won’t.
Dr. Nelfar, signing off.
Experiment Log- Day 90:
We were not prepared for this…
The subjects became more violent and capable than any of us foresaw… Many of us have been attacked and run the risk of exposure, but a select few managed to avoid contact. (Those exposed have been admitted to decontamination for the night.)
The subjects have been detained and the injuries tended to, however, I fear this will not be the last time this occurs. The subjects now… crave blood. (Something that, clearly, none of us are comfortable with satisfying.) I have warned the evening detail of the danger and they have tripled security with the hope that the subjects will settle overnight and that these events will pass.
I pray this is the last bad news I will have to log, but I fear that it is only the beginning.
Dr. Nelfar, signing off.
